Dr. Philip Skiba, President and CEO
Dr. Philip Skiba received his medical degree in June of 2003, and trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Georgetown University / National Rehabilitation Hospital, in Washington DC. He then completed residency training in Family Medicine. He is board certified in both Family Medicine and Sports Medicine. He is an attending physician at The Jersey Shore Sports Medicine Center, where he focuses on the non-surgical management of sports injuries, as well as athlete training, health, rehabilitation and wellness.
Dr. Skiba has been a swim coach since 1994, and has been working with triathletes, runners and cyclists since 2002. Practicing what he preaches, Dr. Skiba has completed numerous triathlons, including Ironman USA, and has also competed in the individual sports of cycling and running. As a sports physician, he works clinically, on the sidelines, and in the training room with high school, collegiate and professional athletes. He has also provided coverage at large scale events, including the Baltimore Marathon, the New York City Marathon, and (just to keep things really interesting) WWE Wrestling. David Tilbury Davis, Senior Partner
In 1996 David graduated from Loughborough University (home to athletic legends such as marathon world-record holder Paula Radcliffe). He then conducted four years of postgraduate research in biomechanics. At that time, he also began his long involvement with triathlon and endurance sports. David has coached athletes ranging from beginner to GB Elite, as young as 15 and as old as 67. He has also coached individual athletes preparing for the World Triathlon Age Group Championships, National Junior Squad Selections and the Commonwealth Games for cycling.
David is an accomplished athlete in his own right. He has competed from the sprint distance all the way up to the Ironman. His palmares include a 7th place overall finish at the 2003 Himalayan 100 mile Running Race, conducted at over 12,000ft altitude!
David takes pride in staying abreast of the latest empirical and scientific developments within sports in relation to both products and athlete performance.
